The 2001 Canada Masters – Singles was the men's singles event of the one hundred and twelfth edition of the Canada Masters; a WTA Tier I tournament and the most prestigious women's tennis tournament held in Canada. Marat Safin was the defending champion but lost in the first round to Nicolas Escudé. Andrei Pavel won in the final 7–6(7–3), 2–6, 6–3 against Patrick Rafter.
