Coffee World is a premium specialty coffeehouse that provides a wide range of hot and iced coffee as well as ice-blended beverages, waffles, wraps and signature deserts in hundreds of outlets scattered across India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Indonesia, China, and Sudan.

Coffee World is a brand of Global Franchise Architects (GFA), a Geneva Switzerland-based company that builds, operates, and franchises a select portfolio of specialty food service brands. GFA is part of the Synergia One Group of Companies; a diversified group that consists of companies founded by serial entrepreneur Fred Mouawad and includes the 122-year-old family jewelry business Mouawad.

Coffee World currently has two formats: the original Coffee World shops and the Coffee World Restaurant which offers full table service and a menu of over 100 items featuring local, international, and Asian-fusion cuisine.

All Coffee World stores and Coffee World Restaurants are designed by Itorama and built by Interbuild Solutions, two companies that are part of the Synergia One Group.

Fred Mouawad launched the first Coffee World store in Bangkok, Thailand in 1997. By 2004, Mouawad bought out the shares held by his equity partners and formed GFA. Today, Coffee World has expanded to over 100 stores in Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, India, and Thailand.

In 2012, Coffee World launched Coffee World Restaurant as a separate service format that provides a contemporary dining experience to Thailand with over 100 Thai, international, and fusion cuisine dishes to choose from.

In 2005, Coffee World opened its doors in Bangladesh with its halal menu. Most outlets are co-branded with Pizza Corner or Book Express while some are inside ETC Department Stores (the local franchisee of the Coffee World and Pizza Corner brand in the country). Unlike their Indian counterparts, they serve beef-related products in all three outlets in Dhaka. Accent Group Ltd is the master franchise partner of Coffee World in the country.

Coffeeheaven

Coffeeheaven (stylized as coffeeheaven) was a Central European coffee house business based in Warsaw, Poland. It operated specialty branded coffee/sandwich bars in Poland, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Hungary, with stores in Latvia trading under the brand name Coffee Nation.

The company was formed in 1999 in Poland by Michael Ovadenko, with the first store opened in Gdynia the following year.

In December 2001 the company listed on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange, the first Polish-based business to do so. This enabled expansion across Central Europe, with the first store opening in Prague, Czech Republic in 2004, and Latvia in the same year. The company then acquired the seven existing stores of Coffee Nation, expanding to Riga. As of January 2008, the group has 81 stores trading in six countries. Cofix

קופיקס

Cofix (Hebrew: קופיקס‎‎, a portmanteau of coffee and fix) is an Israeli coffee shop, bar and supermarket chain established in 2013 by Avner "Avi" Katz. Most of the Cofix branches are in city centers, and other popular areas, but some are located in or next to educational institutions, such as the Haifa University and Ariel University.

The chain has 148 branches, most of which are regular branches selling coffee, food products, and occasionally a small selection of other products. The Cofix Bar part of the chain also includes alcoholic beverages, and Super Cofix is a Cofix-based supermarket. The chain offers all of its products at a fixed price of NIS 5 ($1.29), including in the bar and supermarket branches. The entire chain is kosher, but in some Haredi population centers the products are additionally glatt kosher, and the branches have no seating areas. These are under the auspices the subsidiary Urban Cofix, and are branded Cofix in the City (Hebrew: קופיקס בעיר‎‎, Cofix BaIr).

Cofix is listed at the under AGRI. Upon its entrance into the stock market, it was valued at NIS 90 million (~$23 million). As such, Cofix became the first coffee shop chain to be listed at TASE.

Cofix's entrance into the market caused a significant reduction in take-away coffee prices in Israel, notably in the Aroma Espresso Bar chain, which was forced to reduce take-away coffee prices. Some stores and chains reduced prices on coffee, sandwiches, and other products similar to Cofix's to NIS 5 to compete. This has been termed the Cofix Effect in major mass media outlets. Cofix's entry into the market has been compared to the "cellular revolution" which took place in Israel a few years prior and saw massive reductions in cellular communication prices.

Cofix's business model has led to a number of competitors, but as of 2015, only the Cofizz chain has remained as a major competitive force in the same market segment. The major coffee and fast casual restaurant chains, such as Aroma Espresso Bar, Café Café and others, also compete with Cofix. In late 2013, the Israel Antitrust Authority investigated claims that these chains coordinated prices in order to hurt Cofix's position.

Doutor Coffee

Doutor Coffee (株式会社ドトールコーヒー) is a Japanese retail company that specializes in coffee roasting and coffee shop franchising. It was founded by Toriba Hiromichi.

The company currently has over 900 locations in Japan, has begun expansion in Taiwan and South Korea. It is listed on the . Altogether, Doutor Coffee has over 1,200 outlets.

Doutor Coffee opened the first European styled café in Harajuku, Japan on 18 April 1980. The size of the small shop was only 9 square meters. Despite the small size and local competition, the Doutor Coffee shop succeeded and has expanded to the company that it is now.

Doutor Coffee opened its own coffee plantation in 1991 in Kona District, Hawaii. It opened a second plantation in 1995.

Roasting coffee using hot air is a commonly used method by most roasting plants, but it takes away the original flavor of the coffee. Doutor Coffee explored other ways to roast the coffee, but in a more effective way that retains the flavor in the coffee. Doutor Coffee utilizes the flame roasting approach which is laborious and time-extensive, but it allows richly flavored coffee beans. Since flame roasting is used more for small shops due to the fact that it can only roast 5 kg to 20 kg of beans at a time, Doutor Coffee is trying to create an industrialized flame roasting technique.
