Hon Zuraida Kamaruddin is a second term lawmaker in Malaysia. She is also the Women Chief of National Justice Party in Malaysia.

She was born and bred in Singapore and was both a champion debater and ardent sportswoman representing Singapore in Softball at international games during her schooldays in Tg Katong Girls School and Raffles Institution.

She migrated to Malaysia in the 80's starting her professional career with qualifications and experience in Marketing, Management and Advertising.

She started her career in the private sector working for Australian, Japanese and American companies based in Malaysia which carry big names such as Frank Small & Associates / Chuosenko/ AIA / Avon / Saatcchi and Saatchi.

Later she took a stint as management and training consultant to various companies which includes Petronas Permata and some other governmental bodies.

She is actively contributing in humanitarian missions and community empowerment activities. She is also passionate towards education founding and Advisor to a few educational centres from early childhood to Quranic learnings and also one in Yemen.

She is the founder of WIRDA - Women's Institute for research development and advancement focuses on counselling and protection of the needy including single mothers, refugees and migrant workers.

She was recently appointed as the Advisor to the Selangor Women Institute of empowerment a think tank for the state government to develop progressive policies and programs for women, children and families.

Zuraida was elected to Parliament in the 2008 election, winning the seat of Ampang from the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition.
