Yves Allégret (French: [aleɡʁɛ]; 13 October 1905 – 31 January 1987) was a French film director, often working in the film noir genre. He was born in Asnières-sur-Seine, Hauts-de-Seine and died in Paris.
From 1944 to 1949, he was the husband of actress Simone Signoret, whose career he encouraged. He was the father of her daughter Catherine Allégret, an actress.
He was the younger brother of Marc Allégret, also a film director.
