Yang County, or Yangxian (simplified Chinese: 洋县; traditional Chinese: 洋縣; pinyin: Yángxiàn), is a county in Hanzhong, Shaanxi Province, China. It encompasses the easternmost portion of the Han River (Hanshui) Gorges, including the Hanzhong Basin (汉中盆地).

Yang County has been inhabited for 7,000 years, since the Neolithic period. Since the Tang dynasty and Song dynasty, many writers and artists have passed through, including Du Fu, Bai Juyi, Su Shi, and Wen Tong.

Yang County is located in southwestern Shaanxi Province, near Chenggu County and Xixiang County, and is part of the Shannan region. It sits in the eastern Hanzhong Basin (汉中盆地), on the Han River. The Daba Mountains are to the south of the county; to the north are the Qin Mountains. The administrative area (prefecture) ranges in latitude from 33°02′ to 33°43′N and in longitude from 107°11′ to 108°33′E, and is 3,206 square kilometres (1,238 sq mi). The northern part of the prefecture is at a high elevation, while the southern part is generally low. Elevations range from around 389 metres (1,276 ft) in the urban area to 3,071 metres (10,075 ft) in the Qin Mountains.
