Yūji Ueda (うえだ ゆうじ Ueda Yūji?, born 上田 祐司, June 15, 1967) is a popular Japanese voice actor. He is most known for the roles of Sagara Sanosuke (Rurouni Kenshin), Akito Tenkawa (Martian Successor Nadesico), Brock (Pokémon), Horohoro (Shaman King), Johannes Krauser II (Detroit Metal City), Keitarō Urashima (Love Hina) and Shirō Iori (Kill la Kill).
He was born in Fukuoka. In July 2004, he left Arts Vision and officially made his name into an all-hiragana form. In April 2005, Ueda joined Office Osawa, and currently works for Osawa as of May 2015.
Yūji is frequently called "Yū-chan" by veteran voice actresses; usually co-voice actresses from Pokémon.
