Wingo is a Colombian low-cost airline headquartered in Bogotá and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Copa Airlines Colombia. It operates scheduled services to domestic and international destinations in Latin America from its main base at El Dorado International Airport with a fleet of Boeing 737-700 aircraft.
The airline was launched in October 2016 by Copa Holdings, S.A., the parent company of Panama's flag carrier Copa Airlines and the Colombian airline Copa Airlines Colombia, and began services on December 1, 2016, using a fleet of four Boeing 737-700 aircraft transferred from the parent company.
Although Wingo is operating as a Copa Airlines Colombia unit, it has a complete autonomous structure for its commercialization, distribution systems, and customer service.
