Wildberg is a municipality in the district of Pfäffikon in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland.
Wildberg has an area of 10.6 km2 (4.1 sq mi). Of this area, 54.6% is used for agricultural purposes, while 36.9% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 6.7% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (1.7%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains). In 1996[update] housing and buildings made up 4.5% of the total area, while transportation infrastructure made up the rest (1.8%). Of the total unproductive area, water (streams and lakes) made up 0.4% of the area. As of 2007[update] 3% of the total municipal area was undergoing some type of construction.
Wildberg has a population (as of 31 December 2015) of 1,006. As of 2007[update], 7.3% of the population was made up of foreign nationals. As of 2008[update] the gender distribution of the population was 50.4% male and 49.6% female. Over the last 10 years the population has decreased at a rate of -2.7%. Most of the population (as of 2000[update]) speaks German (97.1%), with French being second most common ( 0.6%) and Dutch being third ( 0.6%).
In the 2007 election the most popular party was the SVP which received 54.8% of the vote. The next three most popular parties were the CSP (13.1%), the SPS (10.3%) and the Green Party (7.4%).
