West Hills is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Huntington, Suffolk County, New York, United States. The population was 5,592 at the 2010 census. Residents have a Huntington postal address but much earlier in its history, West Hills had its own post office located on Jericho Turnpike (formerly Middle Post Road). Also, it is addjacent to the hamlet of Woodbury.

West Hills is located at 40°49′27″N 73°26′4″W / 40.82417°N 73.43444°W / 40.82417; -73.43444 (40.824098, -73.434381).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 4.9 square miles (13 km2), all land.

West Hills County Park is the location of Jayne's Hill, the natural highest point on Long Island (400 feet;120 m).

As of the census of 2000, there were 5,607 people, 1,978 households, and 1,647 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,131.7 per square mile (437.3/km²). There were 2,008 housing units at an average density of 405.3/sq mi (156.6/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 94.40% White, 0.89% African American, 0.02% Native American, 3.41% Asian, 0.45% from other races, and 0.84% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.41% of the population.
