Wanda Vista Tower Chicago (formerly known as 375 E. Wacker) is a supertall skyscraper currently under construction for Chicago, in the U.S. state of Illinois. Upon completion, it will become the city's third-tallest building at 1,186 feet (361 meters). It will supplant the city's Aqua Tower as the tallest structure in the world designed by a woman (Both Aqua and the Wanda Vista Tower are designed by the same person, Jeanne Gang). The Chicago Plan Commission approved the building on November 19, 2015 in a meeting that also resulted in the approval of the 113 East Roosevelt development. Construction started in August 2016 with expected completion by 2020.
The building will have four hundred and six residences and a five-star Wanda Vista Hotel.
The building will be composed of three connected towers. Each tower will be a different height, with the westernmost being the tallest. The towers will have 47, 71 and 93 stories, respectively.Condominium interiors will be designed by hospitality design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates. The hotel interior will be designed by San Francisco firm Gensler. Philadelphia-based OLIN will design the project's green spaces, including the rooftop gardens. bKL Architecture of Chicago serves as the project's Architect of Record.
