WHHH, 96.3 FM, is a mainstream urban-leaning rhythmic contemporary radio station in Indianapolis, Indiana. Along with four other Indianapolis stations, WTLC (AM), WTLC-FM, WNOW-FM and TV station WDNI, WHHH is owned and operated by Radio One. All four radio stations and TV outlet share studios on Meridian Street in downtown Indianapolis, and its transmitter tower is atop the nearby residential high-rise Riley Towers II. The station simulcasts in the HD Radio format.
When the station signed on in October of 1991, it was known as "Hoosier Hot 96 dot 3" or "Hoosier 96" for short. It was Indy's 1st ever CHUrban station that played hip-hop, pop, R&B, dance, freestyle, new jack swing, and house music in the 1990s. Over the years, especially when the station taken over by Radio One, it morphed strictly into a fully fledged urban contemporary station.
"Hot 96.3" was formerly the Indianapolis affiliate of Russ Parr in the Morning. In 2016, WHHH replaced Russ Parr with The Rickey Smiley Morning show, hosted by Rickey Smiley.
