Vyazemsky District (Russian: Вя́земский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-five in Smolensk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,337.90 square kilometers (1,288.77 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Vyazma. Population: 80,436 (2010 Census);81,305 (2002 Census);25,106 (1989 Census). The population of Vyazma accounts for 71.0% of the district's total population.
