Volovsky District (Russian: Воло́вский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the eighteen in Lipetsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 796 square kilometers (307 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Volovo. Population: 14,632 (2010 Census); 16,374 (2002 Census);18,583 (1989 Census). The population of Volovo accounts for 25.5% of the district's total population.
