Vervins (French pronunciation: [vɛʁ.vɛ̃]) is a commune in the Aisne department in Hauts-de-France in northern France. It is a sub-prefecture of the department. It sits in the tributary with the Vilpion and the Chertemps.

Vervins was mentioned in the ancient times as Verbinum in the Antonine Itinerary by Antoninus and later as Vironum in the Tabula Peutingeriana. Ancient landmarks included a theatre and a temple, which were later rediscovered. It once served as the capital of Thiérache.

The neighbouring communes are: La Bouteille, Fontaine-lès-Vervins, Gercy, Hary, Landouzy-la-Cour, Thenailles and Voulpaix
