Verkhnekamsky District (Russian: Верхнека́мский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the thirty-nine in Kirov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 10,370 square kilometers (4,000 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Kirs. Population: 32,669 (2010 Census); 39,643 (2002 Census);54,171 (1989 Census). The population of Kirs accounts for 31.9% of the district's total population.
The Dymnoye peat narrow gauge railway for hauling peat operates in the district.
