Valverde (Sicilian: Bedduvirdi) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Catania in the Italian region Sicily, located about 170 kilometres (110 mi) southeast of Palermo and about 7 kilometres (4 mi) northeast of Catania. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 7,468 and an area of 5.5 square kilometres (2.1 sq mi).
