Valier is a village in Franklin County, Illinois, United States. The population was 669 at the 2010 census.

Valier is located in western Franklin County at 38°0′57″N 89°2′28″W / 38.01583°N 89.04111°W / 38.01583; -89.04111 (38.015927, -89.041029). It is 9 miles (14 km) west of Benton, the county seat.

According to the 2010 census, Valier has a total area of 1.128 square miles (2.92 km2), of which 1.12 square miles (2.90 km2) (or 99.29%) is land and 0.008 square miles (0.02 km2) (or 0.71%) is water.

As of the census of 2000, there were 662 people, 271 households, and 199 families residing in the village. The population density was 587.0 people per square mile (226.2/km²). There were 301 housing units at an average density of 266.9 per square mile (102.8/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 98.19% White, 0.76% Native American, and 1.06% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.15% of the population.

There were 271 households out of which 31.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.6% were married couples living together, 7.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.2% were non-families. 21.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 2.86.
