Urzhumsky District (Russian: Уржумский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the thirty-nine in Kirov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,025 square kilometers (1,168 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Urzhum. Population: 27,075 (2010 Census); 33,959 (2002 Census);38,836 (1989 Census). The population of Urzhum accounts for 37.7% of the district's total population.
