The 1992 United States presidential election in New York took place on November 3, 1992, as part of the 1992 United States presidential election. Voters chose thirty-three representatives, or electors to the Electoral College, who voted for President and Vice President.
New York was won by the Democratic candidate, Governor Bill Clinton of Arkansas) who received 49.73% of the vote over incumbent Republican President George H.W. Bush of Texas, who received 33.88%. Independent candidate Ross Perot, a billionaire Texas businessman, finished in third with 15.75% of the popular vote. Clinton ultimately won the national election, defeating incumbent President Bush.
