United States national indoor lacrosse team is one of the best national lacrosse teams in the world. Although they have never got to the Final, they already proved their qualities with three bronze medals. In comparison with Canada, Americans are much more focused on field lacrosse. Best proof is number of golden medals from World Lacrosse Championships. Team USA consists of professional players, who are members of National Lacrosse League. A lot of players also play in MLL, and are members of field lacrosse national team.
In this competition, Americans have never been able to reach the final. In the first two tournaments, they weren't even close. But in the 2011 FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championship, they were only few steps from the Gold medal game. In a group, they were beaten by Iroquois only by one goal, 10–11. Their semi-final game was very close too, when they lost to Canada 10–15. In the Bronze medal game, Team USA met Czechs with the result 16–7. Casey Powell was named tournament MVP.
