Piper gurnard (Trigla lyra) is a fish species from the monotypic genus Trigla, family Triglidae.
Its range covers the Eastern Atlantic from north of the British Isles and North Sea to Walvis Bay, Namibia, including Madeira and the Mediterranean Sea. The species is absent in the Black Sea.
