Toivakka is a municipality of Finland.
It is located in the province of Western Finland, near Jyväskylä and is part of the Central Finland region. The municipality has a population of 2,414 (31 March 2016) and covers an area of 361.45 square kilometres (139.56 sq mi) of which 52.44 km2 (20.25 sq mi) is water. The population density is 6.68 inhabitants per square kilometre (17.3/sq mi). Neighbour municipalities are Hankasalmi, Joutsa, Jyväskylä, Kangasniemi, Laukaa and Muurame.
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
There are altogether 82 lakes in Toivakka. The biggest lakes are Päijänne, Maunonen and Palosenjärvi.
