Timsky District (Russian: Ти́мский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-eight in Kursk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 882 square kilometers (341 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Tim. Population: 11,759 (2010 Census); 14,628 (2002 Census);16,278 (1989 Census). The population of Tim accounts for 27.1% of the district's total population.
