The Hoxton, owned by Ennismore, currently has two hotels in London; The Hoxton, Shoreditch and The Hoxton, Holborn. The Hoxton’s first international opening was The Hoxton, Amsterdam.

In 2012, Ennismore, owned by Sharan Pasricha, acquired The Hoxton, Shoreditch and the brand to scale the business. In 2013 Ennismore embarked on a full brand reboot which included a refurbishment programme across the bedrooms and public areas and the addition of a multi-functional meeting and events space. In late 2014, The Hoxton opened the second hotel in the series, The Hoxton, Holborn on High Holborn housing 174 rooms. The Hoxton opened its first international hotel – The Hoxton, Amsterdam, which is located on Herengracht and has 111 bedrooms.

The brand is also scheduled to open branches in New York, Paris, Chicago and Los Angeles. A third London hotel will open in 2018 located in Southwark in South London. Pasricha has held the position of CEO since 2012.

The hotel is known for its style, modern decor, events series and pricing. Each of The Hoxton’s have their very own Hoxtown Gallery showcasing the work of local artists and galleries.

The hotel’s quirky, vintage and pared-down urban interior design have been widely published, winning several awards including the World Architecture Festival award, as well as a commendation at the INSIDE festival, and shortlisted for the FX awards. In 2015, The Hoxton was chosen as The Best Budget Hotel by The Sunday Times. The Hoxton, Holborn was included in the Condé Nast Traveler Hot List 2015 and The Hoxton, Amsterdam was featured in their Condé Nast Traveler World’s Best New Hotels 2015. The Hoxton, Amsterdam was also included in The Best New Hotels On The Planet by Travel + Leisure.

The Hoxton was hailed by GQ as "effortless cool", whilst the Financial Times quoted the lobby in The Hoxton, Shoreditch to be "a destination for entrepreneurs working in the cluster of tech start-ups in the area, as well as for those working in Shoreditch’s media and creative businesses".Harper’s Bazaar described the lobby as a "destination in itself" and Stylist voiced "from decadent breakfasts to imaginative cocktails and regular arty flourishes in-between, the Hox’s Insta account resembles the dream East London lifestyle we’d all like to lead."
