Terrebonne is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Deschutes County, Oregon, United States. It is part of the Bend, Oregon Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,257 at the 2010 census.
Terrebonne is located in northeastern Deschutes County along U.S. Route 97. It is 6 miles (10 km) north of Redmond, 24 miles (39 km) north of Bend, the county seat, and 20 miles (32 km) south of Madras. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.0 square mile (2.6 km2), all land, a reduction from 4.5 square miles (12 km2) at the 2000 census.
This region experiences warm (but not hot) and dry summers, with no average monthly temperatures above 71.6 °F. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Terrebonne has a warm-summer Mediterranean climate, abbreviated "Csb" on climate maps.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,469 people, 531 households, and 409 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 325.3 people per square mile (125.5/km²). There were 561 housing units at an average density of 124.2 per square mile (47.9/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 94.49% White, 0.07% African American, 0.95% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 2.18% from other races, and 2.18% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.56% of the population.
