Tan Wee Kiong (simplified Chinese: 陈炜强; traditional Chinese: 陳煒強; pinyin: chén wěi qiáng, later changed to simplified Chinese: 陈蔚强; traditional Chinese: 陳蔚強; pinyin: chén wèi qiáng; born 21 May 1989 in Bukit Gambir, Tangkak, Johor) is a Malaysian professional badminton player in the doubles event. As of September 2014, he was partnered with Goh V Shem, who produces powerful smash with wonderful placement after their outstanding performance in the 2014 Thomas Cup champaign. Together, Tan and Goh won the gold medal for men's doubles and all their matches in the mixed team competition, helping Malaysian team to retain gold medal for the third consecutive time in the mixed team event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Tan and Goh also won bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games and the silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, thus making them the second Malaysian men's doubles pair to win the silver medal at the Olympics Games 20 years after the achievement by Cheah Soon Kit and Yap Kim Hock in Atlanta in 1996.
Tan started his junior career as a mixed doubles player. However, he later transitioned into men's doubles. In 2007, he won the Asian Junior Championships mixed doubles gold medal with Woon Khe Wei. They were seeded second and first at the 2006 and 2007 World Junior Championships but were defeated in the fourth round on both occasions.
