Susaninsky District (Russian: Суса́нинский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kostroma Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,050 square kilometers (410 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Susanino. Population: 7,587 (2010 Census); 9,184 (2002 Census);11,165 (1989 Census). The population of Susanino accounts for 44.9% of the district's total population.
