Surada (also known as Sorada or Suruda or Soroda) is a town which is a Notified Area Council and it is the headquarter of Surada Block which area is about 2663.89 km2 under the Bhanjanagar Sub-division in Ganjam district in the Indian state of Odisha. Surada Block consists of 364 villages, 25 Grama Panchayats and Surada (N.A.C.).

Surada is located at 19°45′N 84°26′E / 19.75°N 84.43°E. It has an average elevation of 76 m (249 ft). It is situated at the North-Western side of Ganjam district.
As of 2001[update] India census, Surada had a population of 14,647. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Surada has an average literacy rate of 63%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 54%. In Surada, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.
