Sun Xueling (simplified Chinese: 孙雪玲; traditional Chinese: 孫雪玲; pinyin: Sūn Xuě Líng; born 1979) is a Singaporean politician. A member of the country's governing People's Action Party (PAP), she has been serving as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Pasir Ris-Punggol Group Representation Constituency since September 2015.
Sun graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Economics. She also completed her Master of Science in International Political Economy with Merit in 2003 from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Sun is CEO of non-profit organization Business China which was started by Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew in 2007 to promote bilingualisam and biculturalism.
Sun started her career in the Economic Development Board of Singapore in 2003 before joining DBS Bank Ltd as an Assistant Vice-President. She subsequently worked in Hong Kong and Beijing and served as Senior Vice President of Macquarie Capital Securities HK and Director of Deutsche Bank Hong Kong. Sun joined Temasek International as a Director in the Investment Group in 2014. She also sits on the Board for the Chinese Development Assistance Council.
Before 2015, Sun was a long-time grassroots volunteer in the People's Action Party at Buona Vista, and is an advocate of women and mothers' rights. She was also the Assistant Secretary of the Youth Sub-Committee of the Buona Vista CCC in 2004 and Assistant Secretary of the Buona Vista CCC in 2006.
