Subhasree Ganguly (born 3 November 1990) is an Indian film actress and former model, who predominatly appears in Bengali films. Born in Burdwan, she forayed into showbiz by becoming the winner of Fairever Anandalok Nayikar Khonje.In addition to acting, Subhashree participates in stage shows and is also a prominent celebrity endorser for brands and products.
Subhashree was born and brought up in a joint-family in Burdwan. Her father is a retiredschool clerk and her mother a housewife. Subhashree has two siblings-a brother and sister. She studied at Burdwan Municipal High School and completed her pre-university education from Birla Institute of Technology and Science. Following this, she received M.Sc degree in technology.
Subhashree was rumoured to be in a relationship with Dev (actor), though she had completely denied it and maintained that they were just good friends. At present, she is in a relationship with Raj Chakraborty.
Subhashree made her debut in Oriya films with Mate Ta Love Helare, opposite Anubhav Mohanty. The film, though released amidst immense fanfare and was also touted to be successful, became a crtitical and commercial flop. Subsequently, she made her debut in Bengali films with Pitribhumi in which she played a supporting role. Directed by Prabhat Roy, the film was also unable to fetch her the much needed recognition. Later, that year she appeared in Prabhat Roy's directorial Bengali film titled, Bajimaat, opposite Soham Chakraborty.
