Steve Harvey is an American talk-variety show. It is hosted by comedian/actor/radio personality Steve Harvey. It is produced by Endemol Shine North America and is distributed by NBCUniversal Television Distribution. The show is taped in Chicago, Illinois at the NBC Tower studios. The show has been renewed through the 2016-17 season.
On November 11, 2016, it was announced that Steve Harvey would be cancelled at the conclusion of the 2016-17 season. Concurrently, it was announced that Harvey would host a new talk show beginning the following season, which will be produced in Los Angeles in partnership with WME-IMG. Harvey will have creative control and ownership of the new series, which will continue to be distributed by NBCUniversal Television Distribution.
Out of the five new talk shows to premiere during the 2012-13 television season, Steve Harvey ranked second, behind Katie, but ahead of The Jeff Probst Show, The Ricki Lake Show, and The Trisha Goddard Show. Of these five shows, Steve Harvey is the only one still in production. During the week of December 31, 2012, Steve Harvey averaged 1.987 million viewers.
