Srikanth is an Indian film actor known for his works predominantly in Tamil cinema. He debuted in the romance film Roja Kootam (2002) and went on to star in more such films including April Maadhathil (2002), Manasellam and Parthiban Kanavu (2003), before attempting action roles in Joot and Bose (2004). In the following years, his films failed to achieve commercial success, which led him to venture into the Telugu and Malayalam film industries.

Srikanth was born on 28 February 1979 in Tamil Nadu into a Tamil speaking family of Krishnamachari, who is from Tiruchanoor (near Tirupati) and Jayanthi. He did his schooling in SBOA Matriculation and Higher Secondary School, Chennai and is a batchmate of Arya. He did his bachelor's degree in Hindustan College of Arts and Science, Chennai. He married Vandana in November 2007, a Telugu girl who completed MBA in Australia. The couple has two children. a son (born his birthday) and a daughter. (born January 28, 2011).

Srikanth debuted in Sasi's romantic film Roja Kootam, which was a commercial success. Srikanth then featured in another successful venture April Madhathil alongside Sneha. He won the Tamil Nadu State Film Special Award for Best Actor for his role in Parthiban Kanavu, directed by Karu Pazhaniappan. His first released in 2004 is Bose which he paired with Sneha second time after successful venture April Maadhathil.
