The NS Sovetskiy Soyuz (Russian: Советский Союз; IPA: [sɐˈvʲetskʲɪj sɐˈjus]) is the fourth Russian Arktika class nuclear-powered icebreaker operated by the Murmansk Shipping Company. The ship was built by Baltic Shipyard in Leningrad and entered service in 1990. It is named after the Soviet Union. Her home port is currently Murmansk.
