Southwest City is a city in McDonald County, Missouri, United States. The population was 937 at the 2010 census, at which time it was a town. It is part of the Fayetteville–Springdale–Rogers, AR-MO Metropolitan Statistical Area and is located in the southwestern corner of the state of Missouri.
Southwest City was platted in 1870. It was named from its location in the southwest corner of the county and state.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.48 square miles (3.83 km2), of which, 1.46 square miles (3.78 km2) is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 km2) is water.

There were 373 housing units at an average density of 255.5 per square mile (98.6/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 57.5% White, 0.1% African American, 3.7% Native American, 0.1% Asian, 1.6% Pacific Islander, 33.3% from other races, and 3.6% from two or more races.
