Sembawang Single Member Constituency

Sembawang Single Member Constituency (Traditional Chinese: 三巴旺單選區;Simplified Chinese: 三巴旺单选区) is a defunct single member constituency in Sembawang, Singapore that is formed in 1955 and continues throughout till 1988 where it is one of the founding ward of the larger Sembawang Group Representation Constituency and continues throughout as present ward.

Note: The then incumbent Ahmad bin Ibrahim ran for the election in the same seat again, but he had joined the People's Action Party before the 1959 election. He died in 1962, which made this election the last he contested.

Note 2: MIC is allied with Singapore's UMNO and MCA chapters, similar to its Malaysian counterpart with the exception of not using the alliance symbol which was the reason for the elections department of Singapore to view Vangadaslam Jayaram as an independent candidate.
