Thakur Shri Saty Narayan Ji (or SatyNarayan) meaning "True Image Of Narayan, Satya Roop Of Narayan", is a deity worshipped by Hindus, mainly in the Indian states of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, (Uttar Prdesh), Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Assam, Manipur and Tripura or his avatar Krishna by the Hindus. Saty Narayan Ji is worshipped as part of a triad on the “Ratnavedi" (jewelled platform).

The icon of Saty Narayan is a carved and decorated stone stump with beautiful eyes and with stumps as hands, Saty Narayan Ji hasfour Hands each hand Carries Shankh, Chakra, Gadda and one hand in blessing Position Respectively. The worship procedures, practices, sacraments and rituals of Saty Narayan Ji do conform to those of classical Hinduism. The origin and evolution of Saty Narayan Ji worship, as well as iconography, is clear and has been subject to intense academic debate.

Saty Narayan Ji has a clear vedic reference and is also a member of the traditional Dashavatara concept or the classical Hindu pantheon.

Saty Narayan Ji considered as a form of the Hindu God Vishnu, is sectarian and has been associated with any particular denomination of Hinduism in entirety, though there are several common aspects with Vaishnavism, Saivism, Shaktism, Smartism, as well as with Buddhism and Jainism.
