San Valentino in Abruzzo Citeriore is a mountain hill town in the province of Pescara, part of the Abruzzo region in central Italy.

The town's name comes from St. Valentine and that of the old province in which the town was located, Abruzzo Citeriore.

Nestled in the Apennines, less than 40 kilometres (25 mi) from the Adriatic coast, the medieval town lies on the northern edge of the Parco Nazionale della Majella. One of San Valentino's most important architectural landmarks is Castello Farnese.

Little known by tourists, San Valentino in Abruzzo Citeriore with its narrow, streets and stone buildings and fountains fed by mountain streams provides a glimpse of Abruzzo's past.

In mid-November, the town hosts the Festival of the Cuckolds (Festa dei Cornuti), a parade honoring or deriding (depending on one's perspective) men with adulterous wives.

The municipality of San Valentino in A.C. covers a wide area parallel to the Orta river, from south to north, perpendicular to the Pescara river. The altitude of the territory is between 200 and 650 meters. The town center is located at an altitude of 450 meters in a privileged location overlooking the Pescara river valley and the Adriatic Sea to the east.
