Salsky District (Russian: Са́льский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the forty-three in Rostov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,499 square kilometers (1,351 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Salsk. Population: 107,795 (2010 Census);49,343 (2002 Census);45,908 (1989 Census). The population of Salsk accounts for 56.9% of the district's total population.
