Salma Agha is a Pakistani British singer and actress who sang as well as acted in Indian films in the 1980s and the early 1990s. Her first film was the romance Nikaah for which she won the Filmfare Best Female Playback Award from four nominations and was also nominated in the Best Actress category.

Agha was born in Karachi, Pakistan to Nasreen (born as Zarina Ghaznavi) and Liaqat Gul Aga, and raised in London Her father was a successful businessman dealing in rugs. Her maternal grandparents are actor Jugal Kishore Mehra and actress Anwari Begum who starred in the first ever made Heer Ranjha (1932). Her maternal grandfather was Rafiq Ghaznavi. Nasreen was later adopted by Jugul Kishore Mehra, who converted to Islam and took on the name Ahmed Salman. Jugul Kishore Mehra was the cousin of Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor.

Salma Agha was married to Pakistani squash player Rahmat Khan in 1989. They have two children together-Sasha Agha and Liaqat Ali Khan. In 2010, they got divorced. Agha got married to Manzar Shah, a businessman based in Dubai, in 2011.

On 31 May 2016 Agha's application for Overseas Citizen of India card , given to foreign citizens of Indian origin, was approved facilitating her travel to India without applying for visa each time and periodically reporting to police during her stay.

She stays in Mumbai, where her daughter, Sasha is acting in Bollywood films, while her husband lives in Dubai. Salma Agha revealed to Filmfare in 2013 that she is not from Pakistan. Her father, a precious stones and antiques businessman, was from Amritsar, India, who settled in London.
