Sakkottai is a village in the Kumbakonam taluk of Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu, India. The village is famous for the Amirthakadeswarar Temple. Popular Indian historian S. Krishnaswami Aiyangar and manimekalai sukumar mudaliyar hailed from Sakkottai
