Sahawar formerly known as "Sukh Chain Nagri & Sahabon ki Nagri" is a town and a nagar panchayat, as well as Tehsil in Kasganj district in the Indian State of Uttar Pradesh. Previously, it was part of district Etah.

Sahawar is located at 27°48′N 78°51′E / 27.8°N 78.85°E / 27.8; 78.85. It has an average elevation of 176 metres (577 feet). It is co-community town. A famous Masjid, 700-year-old Jama Masjid along with Dargah named Mamu Bhanje and Radha Krishna Mandir located in the city. Sahawar Town is second railway station en route Kasganj to Farrukhabad and Kanpur. The famous temples are Gaama Devi Temple,Devi Durga Temple, Shivalaya Temple and Famous Dargahs are Ramzan Shah Baba, Sufi Shah. This town is almost 100km away from famous cities Bareilly, Khair, Agra, Aligarh, Mathura and 250 km From National Capital New Delhi & State Capital Lucknow. It is just 12km away from famous religious town Soron.

There are two degree colleges for higher education- Sir M U Degree College and Dr Rishikant Siddhartha Mahavidyalaya. The colleges have B.A, B.Sc, B.Ed and other courses. Institutes for Higher secondary education:- Sahawar Bal Vidya Peeth junior high school, Shri Gandhi Inter college, Islamia Inter College, Green wood public school, C.P.V.public School.CBSE Pattern,S.D.S .Public school with CBSE Pattern.
