Sadalga (or Sadalaga) is a town in Chikodi taluka of Belgaum district, Karnataka, India. It is situated near the Karnataka border and located on the banks of the Dudhaganga river. Many taluka level offices are situated here.
Sadalga is located at 16°34′N 74°33′E / 16.57°N 74.55°E. It has an average elevation of 534 metres (1751 feet).
As of 2011[update] India census, Sadalga had a population of 26,198. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Sadalga has an average literacy rate of 60%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 70%, and female literacy is 49%. In Sadalga, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
The town has several schools with different medium of teaching like Kannada, Marathi and English. The Kannada and marathi are main spoken language and understood by all. Even Hindi can be understood by all. It has Arts and Commerce PU and Degree College, ITI College.
Mahadev Mandir, Vithal Mandir, Ekavira Mandir, Ganesh Mandir, Aranyasiddheswar Mandir, Hanuman Mandir, 1008 parshwanath digambar jain mandir, 1008 shri chandraprabhu digambar jain mandir, 1008 shri digambar jain mandir, 1008 shri adinath digambar jain mandir, Khwaja Shamanamir Dargah, Puratan Datta Mandir are the temples in the town.
Farming is a major livelihood of the town . The farmers use old as well as modern techniques for the cultivation but nowadays some educated youngsters are doing the farming with advance technology. Sugar is main crop and amount of other crops grown is less. So farm owners are dependent on the sugar factories.
