Sacrifice (2014) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). It took place on April 27, 2014 at the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida. It was the ninth event under the Sacrifice chronology and the second event in the TNA 2014 pay-per-view schedule.
The theme of the PPV was that most of the matches contested under hardcore or special rules. Eight professional wrestling matches took place at the event. The event had three main events. Eric Young defeating Magnus to retain the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, Gunner defeating James Storm in "I Quit" match and Bobby Roode defeating Bully Ray in a Tables match.
Sacrifice featured professional wrestling matches that involved different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines. Wrestlers portray villains, heroes, or less distinguishable characters in the scripted events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.
On April 3, Magnus successfully defended his TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Samoa Joe, Eric Young and Abyss. On April 8, part of TNA Impact365, Director of Wrestling Operations MVP announced a 10-man gauntlet match that took place on the April 10 episode of Impact Wrestling where the winner receives a future TNA World Heavyweight title shot at Sacrifice (2014). The match would later be won by Eric Young who requested to have his shot at the same night where he went to defeat the champion Magnus. Magnus will invoke his rematch clause at Sacrifice, and wrestle Young for the title.
