The year 2011 was the 1st year in the history of the SUPERKOMBAT Fighting Championship (SUPERKOMBAT), a kickboxing promotion based in Romania. 2011 started with SUPERKOMBAT The Pilot Show and ended with SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix 2011 Final. It started broadcasting through a television agreement with Eurosport.
SUPERKOMBAT The Pilot Show was a kickboxing event held by the SUPERKOMBAT Fighting Championship on March 18, 2011 at the Sala Sporturilor Traian in Râmnicu Vâlcea, Romania.
Team Romania met Team Italy, and 22-year-old local Mihai Barbu fought in a WAKO-Pro World Middleweight Title Match against the title holder Arnaldo Silva of Portugal. The rest of the card was filled with exciting matchups. Featured on the card were several K-1 veterans including Cătălin Moroșanu, Sebastian Ciobanu, Dževad Poturak and Freddy Kemayo.
SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix I 2011 was a kickboxing event held by the SUPERKOMBAT Fighting Championship on May 21, 2011 at the Patinoarul Mihai Flamaropol in Bucharest, Romania.
