Rockaway Beach is a city in Taney County, Missouri, United States. The population was 841 at the 2010 census. It lies on the shoreline of the White River.

Rockaway Beach is part of the Branson, Missouri Micropolitan Statistical Area.

Rockaway Beach had its start when a developer bought property on what was speculated to become the shore of Lake Taneycomo. The name most likely is a transfer from Rockaway Beach, New York. A post office called Rockaway Beach has been in operation since 1933.

Rockaway Beach is located at 36°42′3″N 93°9′40″W / 36.70083°N 93.16111°W / 36.70083; -93.16111 (36.700820, -93.161177).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.69 square miles (1.79 km2), of which, 0.61 square miles (1.58 km2) is land and 0.08 square miles (0.21 km2) is water.

While Rockaway Beach is located in the White River Basin it is actually situated on the shore of Lake Taneycomo.

As of the census of 2010, there were 841 people, 365 households, and 222 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,378.7 inhabitants per square mile (532.3/km2). There were 528 housing units at an average density of 865.6 per square mile (334.2/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 96.1% White, 0.7% African American, 1.0% Native American, 0.6% Pacific Islander, 0.4% from other races, and 1.3% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.0% of the population.
