Rehan is a small town in the Kangra district and part of the [[Himachal Pradesh] state, north of India. It lies on the border of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. It is known for its junction between cities;Nurpur,Jawali,Pathankot. Pathankot is the nearest biggest city with two railway stations.

Rehan is surrounded by huge number of small villages and is the main stop for shopping and entertainment. Although it is a small town it provides most of the facilities needed such as a very small hospital (not for emergencies though), a pharmacy, a blood test lab, several internet cafes, a kitchen ware shop, photo shop.

Rehan's countryside is very beautiful as it lies on, on-going hills. In March, the weather starts heating up yet the nights are still cold. End April, the weather is very hot and may reach 40°C at its highest peak of the day. In winter, it can become very cold and some years even snow. On 7 January 2012 Rehan witnessed dense snow fall first time in the history. Rehan's countryside was flooded with the white snow.

Rehan produces local honey, oil, cheese, vegetables yet exports very little. Himachal Pradesh is one of the first states of India to obtain local water in large quantities for its population. People speak basically in Pahari language.

It is famous for its talents. [Indian idol Fame] contest ([Anuj Sharma]) is from Rehan.

The famous Freedom fighter [Sh. Camred Ram Chandra] was also from the city Rehan. Now a [Government School in Rehan] is running on the name of that Great Freedom Fighter.

The famous fair in Rehan is on the name of Siddh Baba Shri Raja Ram on 16 February every year. At the time of the fair Rehan is full of hustle and bustle, people from all other near villages gather at the common Market place.

Kingfisher Red is running daily flights from New Delhi to Gagal Airport which is just 64 km from Rehan. Flights are prone to climatic conditions and can be cancelled due to low visibility in the winters- plan your trip accordingly.

Rehan is connected by narrow gauge railway from Pathankot. Approximate distance from Pathankot to Rehan is 36 km.

The kangra valley toy train also operates in the town. The nearest railway station is at Bharmar, 6 km from main bus stand.

Himachal Road Transport Corporation(HRTC) is the best way to travel plying Air conditioned, Deluxe and Semi Deluxe buses from major cities like Pathankot Delhi and Chandigarh. Distances to the major cities are Delhi (530 km), Chandigarh (240 km), Shimla (259 km), Manali (205KM), Dharamshala (70 km) etc. Tickets can be booked online from HRTC website.[1]
