Rayachoti is a town in Kadapa district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a municipality in Rayachoti mandal of Kadapa revenue division. It is one of the oldest town in Andhra Pradesh.
Rayachoti is located at 14°03′N 78°45′E / 14.05°N 78.75°E. It has an average elevation of 1200 metres (3,900 feet)
As of 2011[update] India census, Rayachoti had a population of 1,18,266. Males constitute 50.9% of the population and females 49.1%. 18% of the population is under six years of age.
Rayachoti is located on the junction point of National Highway 40 (India) and National Highway 340 (India).The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation operates bus services from Rayachoti bus station. It is well connected to Tirupati by 100 km.and Chitoor by 111 km and Madanapalle by 75 km. It is connected to Banglore by 180 km and Chennai by 240 km.and state capital Amaravati (state capital) by 429 km.
