Ramachandrapuram is a town in East Godavari district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The town is a municipality which serves as the headquarters of Ramachandrapuram mandal and Ramachandrapuram revenue division.
Ramachandrapuram is located at 16°51′N 82°01′E / 16.85°N 82.02°E. It has an average elevation of 10 metres (32 feet).
As of 2011[update]Census of India, the town had a population of 43,657. The total population constitute, 21,544 males, 22,113 females and 3,994 children, in the age group of 0–6 years. The average literacy rate stands at 82.25% with 32,623 literates, significantly higher than the national average of 73.00%.
The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation operates bus services from Ramachandrapuram bus station.
