Przywidz [ˈpʂɨvit͡s] (Kashubian: Przëwidz, German: Mariensee) is a village in Gdańsk County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Przywidz. It lies approximately 22 kilometres (14 mi) west of Pruszcz Gdański and 28 km (17 mi) south-west of the regional capital Gdańsk.
The area was part of Prussia and Germany from 1772-1920, 1920-1939 Free City of Danzig, 1939 - 1945 Nazi Germany. Following World War II the native German populace was expelled and replaced by Poles. For details of the history of the region, see History of Pomerania.
