Together with the medieval Porta Nuova in Manzoni street, the ancient Porta Ticinese is one of the two medieval gates of the city that still exist in the modern Milan. The medieval Porta Ticinese is sited near the Basilica of Saint Lawrence and the homonymous Saint Lawrence columns.
